Code Review (Easy): Mapping Event Spans

Story

Lena was working on a small utility to help the team track batch updates in their sorted activity logs. While her first version could find if an ID existed, Eva asked her to refine it so they could see the exact span where a specific event occurs. For example, if the system lists sequence numbers [5, 7, 7, 8, 8, 10] and they search for 8, the tool should report that the entries start at the third position and end at the fourth. This update will allow the team to quickly isolate a block of identical entries for more accurate reporting.

Your Task

Read the story and code, then decide if the code is ready for production or needs improvement.
