Eva Harrington wanted the new developer dashboard to feel more dynamic, so she asked Mark Patel to change how the status tiles are arranged. Instead of filling the grid line by line, the tiles should now start at the top-left and wrap around the edges in a tightening circle until they reach the middle. For instance, in a three-by-three grid, the sequence would run from one to three across the top, down the right side to five, across the bottom to seven, up the left to eight, and finally place the number nine in the center. Mark built this as a small helper function to ensure any square grid on the platform could easily adopt this organic flow.
